JM Bistro is the creation of longtime friends and culinary collaborators, Jamie Morales and Micah Bennett. Originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico and Asheville, North Carolina, the pair met during their early careers in the restaurant industry and bonded over a shared passion for bold flavors, rustic presentation, and the vibrant culture of tapas-style dining. After years working in cities across the country, they chose to slow down and root themselves in the quiet charm of the Oregon coast — a place they describe as “wild, weathered, and full of soul.”
They opened JM Bistro with the vision of bringing people together over small plates that tell a story. Inspired by their travels and heritage, the menu blends Mediterranean technique with Pacific Northwest ingredients, all served in a cozy space that feels more like a dinner party than a dining room. Jamie handles the kitchen with a deep love for seasonal produce and warm spices, while Micah curates the wine list and hospitality with an effortless calm that makes guests feel instantly at home.
